Chin Cactus

Gymnocalycium
Species of this plant are relatively small, varying from 5 to 15cm in size. In cultivation, they are popular for their easy flowering habits, and the flowers are generally brightly colored. These plants are shade-seeking therefore will need light shading from the sun in the hottest months, but overdoing so will result in the loss of flowers. This plant may suffer from fungal disorders if overwatered, which may lead to root rot developing.
